Come and hear the state of play on the radar issue that is preventing wind power from being built in eastern Finland



LUT University is investigating the technological solutions that will enable wind power to be built. Several international defence companies are involved in the research project. LUT University'sResearch Director Petteri Laaksonen and visiting researcher Ari Järvinen, who has previously worked in the Air Force on control and management systems, will discuss the situation with experts.

Wind power construction is vital for maintaining the vitality of eastern Finland. Once the radar issue is resolved, thousands of wind turbines can be built in eastern Finland, bringing investment and up to 30 000 jobs to the region.


Wind power will also strengthen our defence capabilities as part of the national defence energy programme ResilEastia.
