Hydrogen economy as a saviour of eastern Finland

Do you know what clean energy and hydrogen could mean for south-east Finland? Could a hydrogen valley emerge in eastern Finland?

Come to Culture Space Nuijamiehe in Lappeenranta on 5.3.2024 to hear and learn about the potential of the hydrogen economy for the vitality of our region in concrete terms! The event will present the results of the Hydrogen, Power to the South East project. and present views on the future of the hydrogen economy.

Renewable energy and hydrogen-based industries play a major role in the industrial transformation and development of eastern and south-eastern Finland, and as such are expected to play a major role. The region needs a lot and the Eastern South-Eastern Hydrogen Valley study produced by LUT University shows that the region can also meet the challenge: the region has very significant potential for renewable energy and hydrogen economy.

The project has been funded by the Sustainable Growth and Jobs Programme of the European Commission. Employment 2014-20 from the Finnish Structural Funds Programme. The event is funded by the Green Electrification Ecosystem Services and Co-creation Strengthening in the Greenreality Network 2022-2024 project funding.
